I wouldn't hand the inker this image as is unless we worked together for along time and that person knows my style as well as i know theirs. Its pretty simple, the inker would have to make sure that the textures are accentuated and all lines are complete and very clean. the inker has the liberty to add whatever they feel like adding (more textures and or segments) as long as it doesn't disrupt the flow of the image or skew it from its intended design.
The sketcher sets the pace of the entire project because they determine the shape, size and quality of the illustration. Usually depending on how much detail is in the picture sets the flow for everyone else. This way everyone keeps their own originality and it will always show no matter what.
After that I imagine the image would go to the colorist who would then add the colors, make sure that you all have decided on lighting. (ie primary, backlight, diffuse, and rim lighting. thats how i would have done it). The colorist would have to be able to color in a wide variety of styles. This way we as a team don't become redundant to the clients and Viewers. A good colorist would also know when and when not to put as much detail as possible into the image, this prevents snags and back-ups. If the image is simple keep the coloring equally the same. That way their effort will not be squandered, Same goes for the inker.
This whole process would be rather quick thus allowing for high quantities of art while at the same time maintaining high quality. Because while the inker is inking the first image the sketcher could be drawing up another picture just as quickly and so on and so forth, essentially creating a smooth line of task that are promptly completed.
Try not to worry about things such as being confined by your teammates styles because whom ever starts the project everyone else will easily be able to stay within the sketchers tracks. Then after the round is complete you all shift jobs. The quality of the art produced may vary but very minutely. one sketcher could be better than the other sketcher but if that person is a recessive colorist then it will still work out because the other teammates skills will compensate for that lack thereof.
This is Pretty much how things would run if I were running it, its not necessarily the only way to do it. I'd like to hear how anyone else would take a go at managing such an affair, Because management is very important too. ^_^ If you feel that somethings not right please call me on it.
I also want to have a few people join me for the course of this semester. If you don't want to its alright, I won't be hurt.
